Seatrek Training Personnel

John Robertson

John Robertson has built up years of experience in the marine industry from the beginning as a dinghy and yacht sailor to the present day as owner and director of his own commercial school specialising in power.

Holder of the round Britain rib race record of 63 hours 32 mins 25 secs in 1993 with a team circumnavigating Britain, they held the record for several years before it was finally broken.

His knowledge and ability to work on anything up to 24meters including ro - ro ferries, tugs, the latest jet drive catamaran and landing craft has helped many young skippers starting out on their careers, developing them into sound and capable young men and women.

This has also been an asset to the leisure industry with twin & single engine vessels and the pride of the family as they learn not only to skipper but to crew for each other allowing for a safe and happy experience.

His qualifications range from powerboat trainer – Master 200ton and this experience is bought not just to the classroom but to the practical courses that Seatrek Training run.

Lesley Robertson

Lesley Robertson qualified in 1982 as a nurse and proceeded to specialise in cardio thoracic medicine with the National Heart and Chest hospital in London. Lesley qualified as a first aid trainer in London and worked with St. John Ambulance and the British Red Cross before running courses under the recognition of St Andrews Ambulance. Now, with the backing of the association of first aiders, Lesley is a First Aid trainer in her own right.

Her experience and practical approach brings to the classroom a depth of knowledge which is passed on to her students allowing them to learn and develop pertaining to their natural environment.

Our range of instructors and examiners are chosen because of their high standard and what they bring to the company, which ultimately is passed on to the students who train with us.
